Motivation and Welcome
Welcome to the next chapter of your life, and congratulations for taking the big step. You're working on the solution now, probably willing to invest in your time, effort, well-earned money, for the right person who will offer you ACCOUNTABILITY, KNOWLEDGE, GUIDANCE.
Before even starting to talk about the results and goals, you need to know one thing: no matter what background you're coming from or what kind of genetics you have or how smart you are, it's all about "COMMITMENT." You can hire Arnold as your trainer, Gordon Ramsay as your private chef, get yourself the most shake or the best equipment, the latest, fanciest workout attire; but if you don't show up and do the work, YOU WILL FAIL!
Another thing that needs to be addressed is that even though you absolutely hate exercising, it makes you sick, or it's not your thing, you MUST exercise. If you wanna live longer, healthier, stronger, you MUST do it! You might take a look on the internet about the benefits of being active, there is a lot of them. Still, I'll explain it in a very easy way. Humankind has been around for thousands of years, and the vast majority of it (99%) had been really physically demanding. I mean FOR EVERYBODY (well other than royals). Only for the last 70 years, with the help of machines and technology, we have been able to relax and enjoy the comforts that this life offers us. Now, we are able to eat more and move less, but our metabolism, our inner health still needs you to MOVE. That's the only way for you to feel complete, your mind is in peace, your body is thankful, and your soul is free.
Remember, your body NEEDS it to function optimally. So, think of exercising as maintenance; better maintained tools function smoother and better, also last longer.
Now, since we discussed the WHY (your body) and WHAT (commitment) needs it to get the results you wish for, let’s talk about what to expect. First of all, your goal needs to be humanly possible (realistic goals). Being realistic about your body, your progress, and your fitness goals is crucial. Don’t put pressure on yourself for a goal that is not attainable at all.
KNOW YOURSELF. Otherwise, you're causing more harm than good. If that's clear, let’s discuss the results. Firstly, if you think you're gonna get immediate results right after your first workout, think again. It usually takes 8-12 weeks to see good results. This phase is the most painful one, also it's inevitable. But hear me out! Think of it as a plane's taking-off phase, you will go through some shakiness and discomfort, but once you get the right momentum, you will be flying. How awesome is that? Now let's unfold the discomfort further. 3-4 exercises per week for 8-12 weeks. Let’s dissect the bigger numbers. 4 exercises per week is around 48 hours of your life. You will be doing it for 12 weeks. So you're looking at 48 hours of commitment. Just 2 days out of 12 weeks.
An effort that will boost your confidence, make you healthier, happier, stronger. What other type of investment offers such a good deal after all?
